Analysis of Causes for Poor Polishing Performance in Sheet Metal Processing

Polishing is an important step in sheet metal processing. If stainless steel materials are to ensure aesthetic appeal, they need to undergo polishing treatment. During the polishing process, many of us encounter various problems, including poor polishing performance in sheet metal processing. How should this be resolved?

Causes of poor polishing performance in sheet metal processing:

Material Quality. Although sheet metal processing involves stainless steel, the different metal content can lead to varying hardness levels. If the original material's hardness is too low, it is not suitable for polishing treatment and can only be subjected to simple grinding treatment.

Influence of Inherent Defects. Some defects on the surface of stainless steel in sheet metal processing cannot be removed by polishing, such as blowholes and pits. These defects can only be addressed by other means, such as filling them in first.

Even stainless steel products that have undergone deep drawing in sheet metal processing can experience some adverse effects. The relationship between deformation and the polishing performance is also influential.
